Common and locally abundant living in two distinctly different habitats: exposed rock pools, and amongst weed and Zostera marina in sheltered and very sheltered lagoon sites, suggesting the possibility that these are a separate species. Food probably algae and diatoms. Not found on the mainland north of south Skye. |
