| One specimen found living on a boulder amongst Ascophyllum nodosum at Craobh Haven, Loch Shuna in 1986 (identification confirmed by Kaas but Baxter and Nunn disagree). Single plates found in muddy shell gravel in the Sound of Mull in 1994. The specimen upon which the record from Greencastle (Nunn & Smith, 1987) was based has been re-identified as Acanthochitona crinita. The record from Loch Maddy (McIntosh, 1866) is likely to have been a similar error. |
