One living specimen cast-up on Colonsay in 1993. Dead shells found at Firemore Bay, Loch Ewe in 1978, off Skye in 1980, at Magilligan Point in 1986 (Nunn & Smith, 1987) and Magheraroarty Point in 1989 (Nunn, 1990b). Jeffreys (1866) recorded this species alive from Skye, as did Marshall (1989b) from Barra and the Clyde (1916b). There are several other old records, of dead shells.
