Common, living amongst littoral algae on the Donegal coast, sparse east of Malin Head. Detritus feeder. Recorded by Thompson (1856) from Tory Island and by Bryce (1872) from Lamlash. Records from Scotland which have been checked have been found to be Rissoa interrupta, but it is not unlikely that this species could appear in west Scotland given favourable conditions.
