Widespread and common, living from low water to 120m, usually on Modiolus modiolus or Pecten maximus. Less common on Aequipecten opercularis, but also found on other species including Astarte sulcata. Proboscis feeder, collecting pseudofaeces of its host and other particles. Dead shells widespread and found to below 200m. Many old records. |
