Figured: Thompson & Brown, 1984 [p. 215]
Length: 15 mm

Common, living amongst hydroids especially those epifaunal on algae, lower shore and inshore. Feeds on Sertularia argentata. Although most records are probably indeed of this species, it is possible that other Doto spp. are included. Due to past difficulties of identification, no records pre-1980 are shown. Allen (1962) records may be regarded as Doto coronata agg., covering in addition such species as Doto dunnei, Doto eireana and Doto millbayana.
