Fairly common, living in the shallow sublittoral. In reports may be listed as Eubranchus vittatus Alder & Hancock, 1842 [sic] or Eubranchus cingulatus (Alder & Hancock, 1847). Feeds on Kirchenpauria pinnata. Recorded from Loch Maddy by McIntosh (1866). Old records from the Clyde.
