Several specimens living in silt in 30m off Oban in 1994 and 2003. Parasitic on ophiuroids, probably lives down to 200m. Recorded from Loch Maddy (McIntosh, 1866), the Sound of Sleat (Marshall, 1891) and Loch Fyne (unlocalised).
