Living in a bed of Serpula vermicularis in 10-15m in Loch Creran in 1993. Dead material recorded from North Uist in 1991 by D Howlett. Single fresh dead shells found in Clachan Sound in 1991, on the strandline at Magilligan Point in 1986 (Nunn & Smith, 1987) and on Mull in 1997 (J Phorson). Recorded from the Hebrides by Jeffreys (1866) and Marshall (1899a, 1917a). Several old Clyde and Irish records. From Portstewart (Waller collection).
