Recorded from Loch Bracadale in 1991 (Scottish Natural Heritage, unpublished data). Living in muddy gravel in Loch Creran in 1971 (Gage, 1972). Several recent records from Loch Melfort and the Oban area in 1993 and 1994 and from Loch Etive (Killeen & Smith, 1992). Few recent records of dead shells. Few old records, mostly of dead shells, including Marshall (1898b).
