| Widespread but sparse, living on Laminaria hyperborea stipes covered with epiphytic red algae and epifaunal bryozoans at a number of localities. Also found at low water on colonial ascidians and amongst small algae in Clachan Sound in 1990, and at low water under an overhang feeding on Alcyonidium diaphanum at Portrush in 1986 (Nunn & Smith, 1987). Dead shells are uncommon. Few old records. |
