Figured: S M Smith
Height: 15 mm

Reported as sporadically common living on rocky shores, generally from the zone of Pelvetia canaliculata upwards, but in extreme exposure occurs from the splash zone to below mid-tide level. Not identified with certainty in the field. Many identifications have been proved to be in error for Littorina saxatilis (D. Reid, pers. comm.) and despite previous published records it should be regarded as scarce. Records shown here have been checked by Reid.
