Several specimens, living on the very exposed cliffs at the Mull of Oa, Islay in 1982. They are notable for their flattened shape. Otherwise found on Rockall referred to but not described as Littorina scotia (Smith, 1982c). Graham (1988) refers to Littorina scotia, quoting Smith, as living in algal tufts, and Littorina patula on exposed rocks. This is a clear misinterpretation. |
