Fairly common and probably frequently overlooked because of its unassuming appearance and being covered with mud and sand grains when alive. Living in muddy gravel in the southern part of the area. Found off Loch Boisdale (Marshall, 1897b). There are a number of records, old and recent, from the Clyde, where it was regarded as scarce by Allen (1962). |
