Amongst a mixed sample from Gairloch and Eigg, 1885 (Somerville) and the Clyde (Marshall). Other Marshall specimens are from Lochinver, Loch Boisdale, Skye and Loch Fyne. Recorded living off Ballycastle by Chaster (1897b). Deads shells found just to the south of our area at Narin Strand in 1902 (Massy, 1903).
