Widespread but sporadic, living in shell sand and maerl in the shallow sublittoral. Fretter & Patil (1961) recorded this from Cumbrae as Setia inflata, but Fretter & Graham (1978) considered these specimens to be a variety of Cingula pulcherrima, and in (1988) placed it within Obtusella intersecta. Detritus feeder. Dead shells widespread, including on shallower part of the Hebrides Terrace. Many old records. |
