In herring nets in the summer, Laggan Bay, Loch Fyne (Brown & Scott, 1886). Allen (1962) lists other records (rare) from the Clyde and considered them probably to be Eledone cirrhosa. Several recent divers' records are also assumed to be in error for this latter species, but it is considered possible that it comes into the area at rare intervals. |
