Rare, living off St Kilda in 1985 and the Shiants in 1988 by B E Picton, Tiree in 1981 (Dipper, 1981b) and off Scarba in 1982 (Picton, 1983). Feeds on ascidians. Old records from the Clyde. Recorded as Okenia pulchella from below the halocline in Loch Obisary, North Uist (Dipper et al., 1987) and in 3-10m in Loch Ewe in 1990 (Howson, 1991b). Not known if these identifications have been checked. May be a variety of Okenia elegans.
