Taken by scallop dredge in 53m in the North Minch in 1992 (D W McKay). Living with Zirfaea crispata in the Sound of Raasay in 1988 and 1992 (D W McKay). Several small specimens found living in a calcareous concretion trawled from 120m in the Passage of Tiree in 1981 (Smith, 1981a, 1983a). Jeffreys (1859) reported it living 'in lumps of indurated clay from clayey mud found at a depth of about 25fms near Lismore .... and in Triassic sandstone off Antrim'. Found in 2008 at Straidkilly, Antrim, living in the same sandstone. Also found by Traill at Glenarm. |
