| This species is not regarded as marine in the area covered by this survey. It lives in the totally fresh water parts of the brackish lagoon systems of the Outer Hebrides (Smith, 1984c, 1987b) and in some coastal and inland streams and rivers. However, dead shells are often common on the strandline. |
