A reddish-purple specimen of this normally white species was dredged alive off Port Charlotte, Islay in 1982 (Smith, 1982c). Also dredged alive off Skye (Jeffreys, 1866) and off Cumbrae (Allen, 1962). Feeds on small polychaetes. Dead shells widespread especially on the strandline. |
