Height: 1-1.5 mm

Common and locally very abundant, living on small algae particularly Cladophora spp. and fucoids at low water in sheltered areas especially where there is both mud and a current. Probably feeds on material in the mud. Few old records, but Jeffreys (1869) thought it common.
